Ylichron S.r.l. has been established in 2005 as an ENEA (Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Growth) spin-off.

It has consolidated and put on the market expertise in the field of Computational  Sciences and High Performance Computing.

Ylichron S.r.l. has realized an innovative product in the field of Electronic Design Automation allowing to automatically design a dedicated computing system at VHDL level starting from user requirements expressed in an high level language (ANSI C). The tool has been conferred to a newco (Accelize S.A.S.) established on 2010 with PLDA Group which will continue the tool development through the purposely-established company PLDA Italia S.r.l.

Ylichron also develops projects in the area of ICT. It also owns and operates a biotechnology laboratory (Genechron) where it combines its expertise in bioinformatics and computational biology to provide genomics and metabolomics services to public and private

Ylichron is one of the founder companies of the Polo ICT Abruzzo.
