Ylichron has been established in 2005 through the use of specific funds provided by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research to favor the creation of academic and research starts-up (art.11 of DM 593/2000).
Ylichron has been funded by three ENEA researchers; they have designed and realized a first C-to-VHDL compiler whose technology has been acquired by PLDA Group in 2010.

Ylichron realizes a R&D project funded by Regione Lazio: it develops a prototype of an APRON Managament System validated and tested in the Fiumicicno Airport.

Ylichron is funded by Regione Lazio to establish a new biotechnological laboratory combining bioinformatics to the newest genomic technologies. Ylichron thus realizes the “Genechron Laboratory” which is active since July 2010 in the market of biotechnological services.

Through its Genechron Laboratory, Ylichron acquires the exclusive license for deploying a patent from University of Roma “La Sapienza” for an molecular assay for the quantification of micro RNA molecules correlating with the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Ylichron, together with Vision Device Srl e La Mela Software Srl, creates an Industrial Network called “BitCon” for the advancements in the area of convergence among ICT and Biotechnologies.
2016
Ylichron creates a new company, called Genechron Srl where it introduces its biotechnological branch of the “Genechron Laboratory”. This action has been further supported through a Capital increase, allowing the entrance into Genechron company of new shareholders.
